Kim Moller, Oyster Startup Club owner and instructor, seasoned practitioner, RRU MBA Instructor, Certified Executive Coach.
Background and Experience
Throughout my career as a brand manager, consultant, business owner, and instructor I have helped organizations and businesses identify, refine, and amplify their business ideas.
Before moving to Victoria, BC, 25 years ago I spent the first 15 years of my career in Europe working for the Colgate Palmolive organization, DMB&B a global advertising firm, and as a partner in a Scandinavian based marketing consulting company. In Victoria I became the first Director of Marketing and Enrollment at Royal Roads University and later joining the university's School of Business as an associate faculty in the MBA program.
I am very grateful for how - over the years - the learners, the experienced professionals, managers, and entrepreneurs, in RRU's MBA program have "pushed" me to refine, condense, and crystalize my knowledge, experience, and skills into simple formats that would engage them in learning. Their generous support and constructive ideas and challenges have helped me continuously improve. They have also generously acknowledged my efforts by awarding me the Professionalism and Dedication Award at Royal Roads University (MBA learners awarding the instructor who “inspired and challenged us the most”) (2018), a nomination for Royal Roads University’s Kelly Outstanding Teaching Award (2019) and in 2020 the Royal Roads University’s Kelly Outstanding Teaching Award in Workshop Facilitation.
Making business concepts simple and turning them into hands-on, action-oriented processes is an ongoing journey that continues to stimulate and motivate me. I hope we will meet and learn from each other in the Oyster Startup Action Workshop, too.

Interactive Live Sessions - No Canned Content
The workshop is designed on principles and tools from my experience consulting and teaching. It blends business strategy, marketing, creative problem solving, lean launch methods, and coaching.
We use AI to gather information - and feedback from the peer-group to make decisions. The workshop is run as a hands-on, practical workshop. No pre-recorded self-study sessions.
"Kim is amazing. He has such a vast and impressive business background. Yet, his focus is always on asking good questions, providing support, and bringing out others’ wisdom and creativity. He is driven by a passion for helping others succeed.
I love the way he brings together deep knowledge of business with practical action-oriented steps, so that you learn core principles at the same time as you are making concrete steps to advance your business”.
